About Me

My name is Leah,

I am a young inexperienced wife, mother, and disciple of Christ trying to find balance in my roles as a housewife and stay at home mom. 

My husband Alex, myself, and our baby girl, affectionally known as our Pumpalumpkin, make up our small growing family. We also had two little babies we lost in 2012 in heaven waiting for us. 

*** Update: We are finally on our own again, and living up the life with our little family!

For now I stay at home taking care of our baby girl  while Alex continues to work hard to provide for us, as he prays for guidance in our family

       We both have an endless passion for children; especially troubled children. We have been praying about adopting in the near future. We both love writing, music, photography, good food (primarily bacon), reading, hiking and serving in our community together when there is opportunity. 

Our goal in life is to find beauty in the simple things, and share that beauty and joy with the world. We have walked a road that is not often traveled; it can be lonely at times, and far more challenging then we ever imagined. As we walk through the valleys and over the mountains God is constantly teaching us what it means to have faith that can move mountains. Together we desire closeness to God through the holy spirit, intimacy with each other, and a deep 'God' love for His people and for the needs that surround us on every side. 

 Personally,  I have a love for learning new things and finding opportunities that allow my creative juices to flow (that being said; Pinterest is the best invention and I am more than slightly addicted to it). I enjoy cooking, organizing, crafting, and finding amazing deals that save us money! I love being creative with the little we have and allowing myself to indulge in the beautiful gift of artistic expression. I feel closer to God when I see what beauty can come from within us, and what beauty surrounds us by the hand of the Lord.

       My heart is to share with fellow mothers, wives, disciples and christians what God is doing in my life and the life of my family through our simple everyday adventures. I want to be transparent as we walk this road together, through my shortcomings and victories through Christ.

        I'm learning how to take on an attitude of servanthood while also keeping my focus on serving God- even through the simple mindless chores of a stay at home mom. I want my passion for writing to inspire others to rise above the mundane moments of motherhood and through whatever else life throws at us, and also to embrace the God given call on each of our lives. I am hoping that through my mistakes, failures, life lessons and the moments of success that you can cry and laugh with me (or at me- as I can be kind of a goofball sometimes).
